Please submit your appearance request at least two weeks prior to your event if at all possible. Failure to do so limits the availability of TC and TK.

Appearance Guidelines & Requests

Interested in having TC and TK at your event? Here are some things to keep in mind

  • Outside of previously arranged events, TC and TK limit their appearances to 45 minutes at a time.
  • Each mascot is accompanied by an Outreach Ambassador who serves as their assistants leading up to and during the event while also being the point of contact for you during the event.
  • A private changing space is greatly appreciated for events happening away from UNI’s campus. This also serves as a space for TC and TK to take any breaks they may need.
  • Our staff are trained to identify situations that may be unsafe for TC and TK. If they see any issues, they will bring them to your attention to try to alleviate any issues.
  • We do not tolerate physical or verbal harassment of TC, TK or outreach ambassadors. If they experience inappropriate behavior during an event, our staff will determine if the appearance will continue. This may affect the likelihood of TC and/or TK returning to any future events you host.
  • TC and TK do not like water! They will not participate in any activities where they are likely to get very wet (water balloons, swimming, slip and slides, etc.). Outdoor appearances may be affected or canceled due to rain.
  • TC and TK are not able to make appearances at partisan political events.

Requesting an appearance by TC and/or TK does not guarantee they will be able to attend your event, but we make all reasonable efforts to attend if they are able.
